Arlington Diocesan Council of Catholic Women at 12018 Cheviot Dr., Herndon, VA 20170 US - Letter from our Moderator - Father Frank Ready

Dear Catholic Women of the Diocese of Arlington, I sincerely hope that you feel the way I do about the goals and thrust of our diocese as it strives to bring about helping all our parishes and their goals to involve and appreciate the women in the Diocese of Arlington. Could you take ownership of all any part of the following: The Diocesan Council of Catholic Women covers many programs such as the Three Women Doctors, a spiritual program based on the writings and spirituality of the three women doctors of the Church and how their example can effect the lives of women today, the Theology of the Body, this is for both men and women and reflects the teachings of the Church, the Conversion of Dr. Marie Anderson, and the like. The ADCCW enhances all diocesan and parish groups to further such areas as Women’s medicine, helping the battered and abused women and children, educating those in need of livelihood skills, especially making an effort to help those who are struggling to keep their babies and not give in to abortion and the like, and strive to support good candidates to political office to promote Christian moral based initiative legislature to improve the lot of all, men and women, Catholic and well as non-Catholic. Some of the fore mentioned thrust is in full swing. Some has already been done. Some yet to come. This and more are possible if you and I work to bring the focus on the issues that affect us all. Women, especially, have the capacity to be so committed as to bring about all of this and more. Let us pray that God will continue to empower the women of our diocese to create and tailor make ways to continue to deepen our life with Jesus and the Church and to be generous enough to touch hearts of every woman and family and parish with our precious talents and our precious time.
