From the Director:
We hit 2010 running at PREP. It has already been a busy, joy filled year. We had an amazing week at Catholic Students’ Week this year. The students celebrated with prayer, games, pizza, and fun and raised close to $1,000 in our bake sale. This fun filled week celebrates our PREP families’ commitment to on- going faith formation and the bake sale money benefits the Hope CommunityCenter in Apopka.
Our theme this year has been “The Body of Christ in Action”. Our students have demonstrated this all year in their faithfulness to attending PREP, worshipping at Sunday Mass, and in the many outreaches they have been involved in that benefit our parish and the community at large.
Very soon we will enter the solemn season of Lent. This is a great time to renew our faith and deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ. We encourage all of our families to attend Mass or Liturgy of the Word on Ash Wednesday which is February 17. We will be introducing our Lenten Outreach the week of Feb. 21.
In the spirit of renewal we would like to encourage all of our families to make a serious commitment to attend Sunday Mass (or Saturday evening vigil Mass). The Eucharist is the source and summit of our lives; it is what defines us as the Body of Christ. Without attending Mass your children’s formation is incomplete.
Some of the exciting dates we have coming up:
February 27 (Saturday Night) – Middle School Mass at 5pm with social to follow in the Life Center
March 20- Lenten Play and Parish Picnic immediately following 5pm Mass. The Play is about 20 minutes long and will change the way your children view Holy Week forever.
Come afterwards and join in a free barbeque with bounce house and games for the children. The whole parish is invited.

April 4, 6, 7, 8 – Spring Break
April 24 - Middle School Boys’ Night Out – 4:30-9pm in the Life Center
April 25 - Kindergarten Family Mass Lesson and Social – 9am in the Life Center
April 27, 28,29 - Closing Mass/Awards Ceremony/End of the year party
April 30 & May 1 - First Eucharist Retreats
May 2 –First Eucharist 9 & 12:15pm Mass
