From the Director:
We hope all of our PREP families are settling into their summer routines. We want to encourage you to use this less structured time to strengthen your family and faith. It is critical to the faith development of children that their spirituality is continually nurtured.
Attendance at Sunday Mass is not just an obligation we promise to fulfill as a part of the promises we made at our children’s baptisms, but also a great time to reconnect as a family with our God. It is a great adventure and a true testimony to our faithfulness when we take our children to different parishes for Sunday Mass while on vacation. It is not always easy to find a Mass in another city, but truly it is an unforgettable lesson to our children that “God is always first” even on vacation!
If you missed our May registration you may come into the PREP office during the month of June to register your child for PREP. Our summer office hours are 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. If you register after June we cannot guarantee that you will get your day of choice for PREP. We are filling up quickly!
As always, we are in great need of volunteers for our PREP year. We have many opportunities for parents to volunteer with varying time requirements. We need teachers and assistants for all sessions, babysitters, hall facilitators and, new this year, enrichment specialist to lead 15 minute lessons 9 times a year. Please contact the PREP office if you have any time you are able to lend to our program.
We pray that you and your family have a safe and blessed summer. We look forward to seeing you at summer’s end!
