Financial Assistance

Financial Assistance at Bishop Leibold School

In recognition of the sacrifices made by many of our Bishop Leibold families to provide a Catholic education for their children, there are several Financial Assistance programs in place to help ease the financial burden.  We encourage you to check out the links associated with the various components of our Financial Assistance program provided below.  Please note that parish membership is required for requesting financial aid, as these programs are supported by the parishioners of our parent parishes.

There are Sibling Tuition Reductions available for parishioner families of Our Lady of Good Hope and St. Henry Parishes.  These can be determined by consulting our tuition tables here.  Please note the tuition tables are updated around February 1 for the next school year.

There is additional Need-Based Financial Aid available for our parishioner families, which is determined by completing an additional form at registration time.  This assistance is determined primarily by income level, and documentation includes a completed tax form and validation of household income, which, with the form, is sent to an accounting firm handling the confidential processing.

The specific form can be obtained by parishioner families in mid-March (by calling either campus office indicating the wish to have it sent), is simple to complete, and is handled in strictest confidence.  The forms are typically due to the accounting firm by mid-April, and family award amounts are typically provided at the beginning of May.  Although specific award amounts are not known until the applications are processed, we urge families to submit this application.  It is important that applicants adhere to the deadlines indicated on the form, as this process involves a quick turnaround.

The Guardian Angel Fund is an additional source of support for our parishioner families at BLS, and is funded by our parishioners donating through quarterly collection envelopes or direct contribution to the school.  The Guardian Angel Fund is administered by each pastor for his parish’s families requesting aid to assist in times of financial adversity, such as job loss, reduction in income, medical expense hardship.  Again, a family must be registered with either parish to request this parish aid.  To learn about the Guardian Angel Fund, or to make a donation, please click here.

The Partnership for Success program is a Dayton-area initiative, matching employers with families seeking part-time employment to support their choice of Catholic education.  To learn more about this program or to enroll, please click here.

Our Uniform Exchange makes it possible to reduce substantially the cost of school uniforms.  It has been known, that with a little luck, a BLS family can satisfy all their uniform needs throughout the years by taking advantage the Uniform Exchange.  Gently used uniforms are sent by our parents to school, sorted and labeled by parent volunteers, and organized for your “shopping” at our East Campus.  We appreciate the efforts of our PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) in establishing and maintaining this valuable service.  To learn more, or see our Uniform Exchange schedule, please click here.
