What Constitutes a Prayer Group? A prayer group led by the Holy Spirit, praying for and utilizing the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 12-14); and the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal 5:22). Under the authority of the Archdiocesan Council, seek to promote the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. The purpose of the prayer group is: prayer, praise, worship and glorification of our Lord Jesus Christ and the uplifting of His Church in a communal gathering. The components of a prayer meeting are: an
opening prayer, for guidance and forgiveness, followed by praise, worship and
thanksgiving, teaching, witnessing, praying for one another and the opportunity for all the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be exercised.
