My name is Sherry Kennedy Brownrigg, and I am the chair of the Audio Affinity Group for the Catholic Academy. During our 2005 General Assembly in Orlando, I accepted a 2nd term as your Chair. 

My professional background includes 28 years of experience in media, including nine years in Catholic radio.  I was a principle in launching Relevant Radio™ and founding KVSS, a Catholic radio station in Omaha. I know run my own media and communications firm, the Kennedy Brownrigg Group.  We specialize in helping Catholic organizations around the world create great Catholic media.

The Audio Affinity has its roots in radio and, to better align ourselves with the marketplace, we have recently expanded to include all types of audio and audio production: radio, internet, podcasting, cell phone, etc.  Our focus is on giving our members the tools to produce Catholic audio media that reaches and engages their target audience with the message of Christ Jesus and the Catholic Church.

In the last few years, the Catholic Academy has spent much time defining itself and planning its future.  A clear path is ahead, and we are ready as the Catholic Academy and as the Audio Affinity Group to help you achieve your goals and the goals of the Church.

I hope you will join us in New York this May at the joint CACAP/CPA Media Convocation.  We will have expanded offerings for radio and audio, including networking with service providers, program producers, those who run Catholic radio stations and others involved in Catholic audio media, and working with other media to expand your reach.  The Convocation offers many other pluses such as a reception at Sirius Satellite Network and a tour of Ground Zero.  Get more information on the Convocation at www.catholicpress.org.
