9-21-2005 Live Chat "Hurricane Katrina"

You are invited to participate in a live chat on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 3:00 – 4:00 pm EDT. Our topic will be:

How can we, as Catholic Communicators, reach out to the areas devastated by Hurricane Katrina? How will we continue to be present as they begin to rebuild? ,  facilitated by John Feister, Director of Electronic Media (St. Anthony Messenger Press), 2nd VP and Vicki Wells Bedard, Director of Community Relations, Diocese of St. Petersburg, 1st VP.

Special Guests:
Tom Kessler,
Director of Information Services, Diocese of Biloxi
Peter Finney, Jr., Executive Editor/General Manager, Clarion Herald, Archdiocese of New Orleans.

We would invite those who are involved in projects in the restoration and evacuation to join us for this chat. We hope that we will be joined by those who have recently experienced the hurricane from the Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Again, it will help us to develop some Internet skills and to have a real-time exchange of information.

You do not have to be a member of the Catholic Academy for Communication Arts Professionals to participate. Share this with others you know who might be interested.

The url for this Live Chat is http://happy.xerocom.net:6010/ - this site will be open from Noon to 1:00p EDT for testing with your network or firewall.  The site will re-open just before 3:00p EDT.  You will be asked for your name: we suggest you also add your organization, i.e. Vicki Wells Bedard, Dio St. Petersburg.  Our guests names will be bolded and highlighted for easier conversations.

A full transcript will be available at www.CatholicAcademy.org.

Our thanks again to CatholicWeb.com, who provided this technology for us.
