Greetings Youth of St. Mary Parish!
This is shaping up to be a great year! We had several Youth help out at the Parish Halloween Pot Luck…thank you! Youth in Confirmation class who need service projects as part of their Confirmation prep…..watch the web site, bulletin, and Youth table for opportunities for Service.
Coming up is a service project for St. Vincent De Paul. It takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 3rd right after the Youth Chorus practice (which starts at 6:30 PM). We’ll have pizza first at 7:15 PM in the parish hall and then organize an assembly line to make homemade detergent! This should be a fun and interesting event!
“Raking of the Rectory” will be on Saturday, Nov. 7th, from 12:30 to 3:00 PM. Dress for the weather, which means hats, gloves, and boots if it is cold! Bring your rakes! Hot chocolate and refreshments in the Youth Room when we are done!
The Community Dinners will be starting up again in January. Help is always needed for serving and clean up. Details will be coming soon!
We are planning a Lock In for grades 6 through 8 and another one for grades 9 through 12. Details at a later date.
Have you ever thought about becoming a Eucharistic Minister? If you would like to be able to give out Communion at mass, talk to myself or Catrina Misiewicz, a twelfth grader who has been trained to do just that! We also would like to see our Youth help out as Ushers and Lectors! This is YOUR Church….we’d love to see you take an active part in it!
