Hello! For those of you who don’t know me my name is Teresa Hurd and I am the Youth Minister for St. Mary Catholic Church here in Charlotte, Michigan. Our Youth Ministry program is taking off strong this year! We have a Youth Advisory Team in place consisting of several of our High School Youth. They have planned some neat local events so be sure to click on the “Events Calendar” to get informed on all that is happening this year.
Some cool Regional Events coming up are the March for Life 2009, January 21-23 in Washington DC. The cost for this trip is $100 but the parish will pay half and if needed we can also look into some scholarship money. More information is on the Youth Table. If you decide that you would like to go sign up on the sheet you find there, take a registration form and return to me along with your $25 deposit by December 14th.
The other regional event is the annual High School Spring Retreat at Bethany House in Dewitt. This takes place March 6th to March 8th. Retreat begins around 7:00 pm on Friday and ends at 3:00 PM on Sunday. Again look for sign up sheet and more info on the Youth Table.
Our Youth Ministry Events are always open to all community Youth so come join the fun and bring a friend!
