CACC of Chicago is a group of single Catholics and friends who get together to mingle and enjoy events. Some events are organized, such as the monthly dinner meeting and the regional and national vacation conferences. The majority of events are organized by members. CACC of Chicago is part of CACI International, and CACI sponsors the various regional and national vacation conferences. Members realize that other singles might enjoy doing the things they enjoy doing. The club works by having one member agree to host an event – such as a dinner and movie night or a lunch and nature outing. Then, the member has the event listed in the monthly newsletter. Other members see the event in the newsletter and choose whether to attend the event or not.

Most members are of the Single Catholic Profesional description, though we welcome all as friends. Ages 21 to 50's single, average age of membership is 40-something, you may be a member as long as you are in good standing, no age cut-off limit. Only with the participation of the membership can the club continue and grow in the future. Members are welcome to attend a planning meeting to organize an event or help contribute to the club. Financial payment of membership is only part - we need members to participate in attending events, choose what you would like to do and invite some friends, and the club may grow if many members do the same and so on....
If you would like to be contacted via phone with questions email your phone number or leave a message on the club hot-line voice mail. Planning or helping organize a single event makes a big difference, as we have a small board that plans most of the events. We can use more help, there is no need to commit to running any more than one event, as we know most of us are very busy. Some of us still find the time to squeeze in this work so we all can benefit.
Members like the idea of actually getting out to me friendly outgoing Catholics and others of similar backgrounds for a variety of activities.
Section 2, Part 20 of the rules of the club are that we are going to enjoy the events. If you are still reading at this point you must be interested so we ask that you follow through and actually come out to one or more activities. With the varied interests of potential and current members you may find that what happens are different people attend different types of activities. Try more than one event, you may meet some new people and we can't all be lucky at the first try being a perfect event where you meet the person you hope to find, or new friendships, etc.
Most important, as may have been stated is to actually take action on your part. Being that this is the internet version, you are likely familiar with all the ways of meeting people on the internet. Getting out with other people can seem more a challenge and take longer, but that may not be true. The Internet has only been around for a short time, and the church has been around for 2014 some years according to my favorite priest. At one time the Pope asked a priest who studied history what date Easter was, but his math was not that good in getting the year number correct (so we are about 7 to 8 years off) Years later it was found that this is not actually 2008 A.D. Enough of the history lesson of the day.
If you want to meet other Catholics and don't find them in your local parish, it is because we are too spread out. CAC brings together Single Catholics from around the Chicago area, and on trips from all over the USA. Some new plans add some more trips with the new CACI travel club - information on the CACI web-site, we have a link here to them and the rest of the clubs of the USA on the links page.
