Parish and School Leaders Gather at St. Lawrence
On Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009 pastors, priests, deacons, religious, and lay leaders representing 54 Parishes and 23 Catholic schools attended the “Parish and School Leadership Engagement Meeting” at St. Lawrence Parish. With more than 200 people present, including more than 35 priests, the gathering was designed to engage the participants in dialogue about the Living Eucharist initiative, provide resource information, update the attendees on the April 30/May1, 2010 diocesan wide conference, as well as share what steps schools and parishes are taking to implement Living Eucharist in their communities.The interest in Living Eucharist was sincere and tangible throughout the day. Highlights included not only the information shared by the presenters, but the wealth of information and creative ideas exchanged among the participants.
Resource tools were introduced to the participants to help them assess and evaluate current ministries as well as identify opportunities or areas of ministry in which a parish may grow or strengthen. These resources as well as the slide presentation are available below.
