Hi everyone!
I wanted to take the opportunity to let you all know myself about all the big changes coming up at Good Shepherd!
Some of you may already know this, some may not. Earlier this year, in February, I had to accept a job offer that brought me to Texas temporarily. My obligations will actually keep me in Texas until June 3rd, something I had not anticipated since it was supposed to be a short assignment. Unfortunately, once my assignment ends I must then take care of some family matters in Puerto Rico. I am not due to return to L.A. until July 30th.
After 6 1/2 years in GS2040, with 5 1/2 as Social Director/Director, I am sad to announce that I will no longer be responsible for organizing events for the young adult group at Good Shepherd. My hope is that once I return I can serve the group in some capacity, just not as Director.
My life's journey is currently heading in a new and exciting direction, both personally and professionally, the details of which I hope to share soon with those of you with whom I have been able to become good friends with once I return. And I still look forward to meeting many of you who have not yet had an opportunity to participate in any events in the not-so-distant future.
You may be receiving an email soon announcing the new Director, or read the announcement in the bulletin. Please make sure you keep an eye out on our website or in the bulletin, in addition to any emails from socialdirector@catholicweb.com, for any upcoming events.
I am SO grateful to have had the opportunity to be involved in this group; it has been a truly rewarding experience for me, spiritually and socially. Thank you to everyone I've had a chance to meet all these years, especially those who have supported me in my efforts to do the best I could in organizing events for the young adult group; you have all made my life a bit richer in your own way.
