New members welcomed anytime not just during our membership drive!
GUILD OF OUR LADY, CCW. We have added some new initials to our name! Why Council of Catholic Women (CCW)? Try thinking of the many rings of Council as links in a chain. One circle interlinked and inter-twined with the other, then another circle linked to the one behind it and linked to the one forward. Information has to flow between the encircled links through the organization from one level to another. Graces flow among, inbetween and through the various chains giving challenge, education and purpose to the Council and meaning to our lives.
Our immediate connective link is to the Central Deanery in the Venice Diocese Council of Women (VDCCW); then the Florida Council of Catholic Women(FCCW)on a state-wide level; then the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW)of all the CCW's in the USA and ultimately, to the World Union of Catholic Women Organization(WUCWO, world-wide CCW. Our Central Deanery is one of four Deaneries in the Diocese of Venice. (The other three are Eastern, Northern, and Southern Deanery.)
Guild of Our Lady, CCW is one of eleven church affiliations in our own Central Deanery. You know some of the church affiliations near us: San Antonio, St. Francis Xavier, St. Maximillian Kolbe, St. Therese, San Antonio and San Pedro, just to mention a few. All information, ideas and sharing are discussed in the Spring and Fall Deanery Days: an ideal networking opportunities for all especially the Church, Community, Family Concerns, International, and Legislation and Organization Commissions and Special Committees like Respite Care and Respect Life.
At Sacred Heart, we are blessed with many truly gifted women who should be encouraged to participate not only in leadership roles, but in helping, mentoring and care-giving roles. This insures the continued good health of our whole organization. Our Guild needs "a few more good women!"
