Wednesday Evening Staff
Children attending public schools in the surrounding school districts come on Wednesdays for religious education. This staff consists of 12 catechists (teachers). These are parishioners, both men and women, ranging in age from late teens through grandparents. We also have a support staff of tutors for children's varying needs. No experience is needed and training is provided. We are always in need of catechists to replace catechists who may leave the program due to school or other reasons, and to keep a pool of substitutes on call.
Sunday Pre-School Staff
This program is offered during the 10:00 Mass on Sundays for children ages 4 through Kindergarten and is co-ordinated by Casey Bilodeau and Molly Cook. Here too, we are always happy to add to this staff, male or female. This is a one-hour commitment on Sunday mornings.
Volunteer Requirements
All volunteers working with children are required to submit a background check authorization form, a signed Standards of Ministerial Behavior for Working with Children, and attend a "Protecting God's Children" awareness session before beginning their work with children. Please see the link on the right side of the page under ATTENTION VOLUNTEERS.
