Attendees:

Meeting began at 7:10 p.m. with prayer and small group reunion.

Minutes:    Minute changes were Changes to Name Ceferino Aguillon, Jr. and the word be to we. Minutes were accepted with changes made.

Treasurer's Report:  John stated 52 checks came in with donations and another $1000.00 with the toal of $6360.00.The balance as of 9/1/09 with all bills paid was $12771.47. The income for the Women’s Weekend with receipts was $4795.00. A $750.00 Stipend to St. Philip the Apostle and $2165.75 Totals. Mary Sneed asked about the wording for a New Day Michael Howe will let her know after he reviews’s what she wrote. Also a general thank you will be sent for the donations over $100.00. Some of monies will go out in postage, printing, and National Dues by October. The amount is approximately $1000.00. Also John was told to open a savings account in the amount of $3,000.00, due to the charge of $10.00 for anything over $15,000.00 in checking account. A vote was taken and accepted to open the savings account.

Committee Reports:

 Pre-Cursillo Committee:

 3 carryovers for the Men. Steve Troelsch was asking for a graphic artist to make a poster to inform parishes about Cursillo. Michael Howe told Steve to call Donna Giberti and see if she could help him with this one project. The concept was to choose a parish a month and go to that parish as an informative group with the knowledge of what we do and how we do it. This is in attempt to help the Men’s weekends with recruits. A consensus was that we start with St. Joe’s Parish in York. Also we could start with the list of Priest that had asked for information to be brought to their parishes on the questionnaire that was sent in 2007. Mary Sneed also told us that St. Patrick’s has a “Ministry Sunday” and that is where they share the Cursillo experience to the parish.

Another discussion was had on the amount of weekends that we should consider having. A suggestion stemming from another parish that waits until 20 applications are gotten was 1 idea.

Cursillo Committee:

Mark Alexander discussed the stipend for St. Pius and that Father Ted did agree to the $750.00 for both weekends. Mark has several applications for team with John Rossi being Rector. Father Ted will be Spiritual Director and Father Bednarik will be Assistant Spiritual Director. Msgr. Smith has room at his parish for the supplies.

Post Cursillo Committee:

Regina Mowery was trying to get a hold of Msgr. Smith to discuss dates for the anniversary and dedication Mass. A luncheon on a Saturday Morning was thought to be best. They are looking for possible places to hold a May Crowning. Michael Howe asked them to look into adding a link to our website to let all know of Ultreya’s etc. and Post Cursillo events.

School of Leaders:

An attendance sheet was shared and a discussion on dates and times for 2010 was discussed by Michael Ciccocioppo. It was voted that Saturday venue was still best and that he should book the dates of the 2^nd Saturday of the month. Next month Dr. Paul Shank and Lucia Murphy will be doing the talks in the future months. The book whom shall I send will be the next publication used for the School of Leaders after we finish the Leader’s Manual as our study material for 2010.

Communications:  -

A New Day –  Mary Sneed asked if she could change the picture at the top of the Newsletter to our Icon. She also asked for the picture of the women’s Weekend for this publication from Nancy. Michael asked Mary to put the National Dates in the October Newsletter and the Region 2 Encounter, October 16,17,18, and Nationals July 29 to Aug1, 2010 at Rockhurst University, Kansas City Missouri.

Our Diocese will be holding their Pilgrimage on October 24, 2009 in Washington D.C.

Website  –  The Men’s Weekend cancellation needs to be removed from the website and Mary Sneed’s email change also needs to be noted.

Palanca Net  –  13 were sent including 33 prayer requests and 4 Cursillo related.infomation. Several email address changes and 1 unsubscribe and 1 subscription.

Database – No Report..

Week End Palanca – 30 were sent out to different Cursillo that are taking place around the world. Kathi is putting them on Palanca Net.

Old Business:  - A discussion whether Marinella was paid and that John should send a check to reimburse her. We also need a check for reimbursement of Michael Ciccocioppo’s credit card for a previous mailing.

New Business: - Michael Howe talked with Father Weary about taking over as Spiritual Director and he will be consulting the Bishop further discussion will be needed and he will let us know.
