What does it take to practice good stewardship principles: acknowledging everything we have as a gift from a generous God, being sincerely thankful and then sharing our time, talents with others? Do we need a severe drought to make us conserve water and use it more thoughtfully? Does it take extremely high gas prices to make us combine car trips and to be satisfied with smaller, more fuel efficient cars? Does it take a parish in financial difficulties to make us be more generous with our contributions?
The Stewardship Committee of Holy Cross seeks to raise the awareness of good stewardship principles by being actively involved with the Outreach Committee, Parish Life Committee, Holy Cross Men’s society and with Parish Administration. Annual Ministry Fairs are planned and held usually in the fall. Goals are conducting a church-wide census, revising the parish registration form, and assisting with building maintenance and outreach projects such as the Casserole Committee and Habitat Housing and Faith Formation.
