Holy Cross Parish School at 144 East Mount Airy Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19119 US - Principal Offers Dress Code Reminders

Principal Offers Dress Code Reminders

May 2006

Dear Parent / Guardian,
I take this opportunity to remind you of our dress code.

The uniform plaid may be purchased only from Rose Uniform. Other items such as navy blue slacks and white knit shirts may be purchased from Rose Uniform or Flynn and O'Hara. I remind you that red sweaters may only be V-neck style (cardigan, pull-over, or vest) - not crew neck style - and must be embroidered with "Holy Cross".

The gym uniform remains the same (Tee shirt and sweatshirt must have the school logo; therefore, they must be purchased through school.)

We have already sent home order forms for Rose Uniforms, Inc. and for our gym uniforms (which we continue to order in bulk and distribute from school in an effort to keep the cost as reasonable as possible) to parents of students who are registered for the 2006-2007 school year. We do not yet have an order form from Flynn and O'Hara Uniform Company for articles which may possibly be purchased there.  You may obtain additional order forms from the school office.

If your child has outgrown his/her uniform and it looks as if it still has at least a few months of wear left, I invite you to launder it and donate it to our uniform "exchange". Throughout the school year, this exchange is located in the school cafeteria. During the summer, this exchange is located on the main floor of the school building. You do not need to have an item to "exchange" in order to take items from the rack.

If you have any questions or encounter any problems in ordering your child(ren)'s uniform(s), please don't hesitate to call the uniform company directly or me at the school office. Please note well the date for order and payment for the gym uniforms if you want your child to have her/his uniform for the beginning of the new school year. Thank you so much for your support and cooperation.

Sincerely,
Sister Rosanne Orchon, SSJ
Principal
