Debi Snyder has been a MOMS Alumna since March 2001. She was in the very first MOMS session at Holy Family when Susan Woodhouse and Beth Denhof started the program as Facilitators. This ministry has been quite an inspiration and catalyst for her personal spiritual growth, so it is very dear to her heart. In fact, she loved it so much that she created the Alumni Coordinator position to give participants opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship after their sessions were completed.
Debi now lives in Bentonville, Arkansas and has been working for her parish as the Adult Religious Education Coordinator. This year she has focused on the RCIA program, parent sacramental preparation meetings and Bible studies.
Debi mentions in an email, "I did manage to coordinate several Bible studies for both our hispanic and anglo communities, a few special event presentations like an advent coffee reflection and De-coding Da Vinci and also coordinated monthly meetings for parents who have children in our parish school of religion. With all that behind me, I am beginning to think ahead to next year. The women's group will be doing the Johnette Benkovic study Full of Grace...it looks really good and focuses on our purpose based on being chosen by God to be women. I still would like to do MOMS here also so I will be doing a lot of praying for that end as I continue to plan!"
On MOMS at Holy Family, Debi says “I just love seeing how this ministry has grown from the sixty some odd members I left it with when I moved two years ago… I would have never imagined MOMS would grow into this wonderful ministry...you are all such talented women and truly are using your God given gifts to create a strong community and spiritual support system for each other...Thank you for keeping me connected to Florida and the MOMS ministry at Holy Family. It is always wonderful to hear about my "spiritual roots"!!"
