Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 2801 West E Street, P.O. Box 427, North Platte, NE 69103 US - R.C.I.A. What is it? Who can attend? Why would I go?

RCIA is an abbreviation for “The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults”, which plays out to mean a process for those who are interested in joining the Catholic Church or wish to find out more about it.
We welcome adults who want to learn more about the Catholic Faith, those never baptized Catholic, but not fully initiated with the Sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confirmation.

Those who are interested can come to the gatherings and have their questions answered while learning what being Catholic is all about. Of course throughout our lives we continue to learn about what it really means to be Catholic. So, our learning is never done and we never have all the answers, but that is a good thing! Hopefully the awakened spiritual hunger leads us to seek out other opportunities for information, community building, and spiritual enrichment in groups like MOMS-Ministry of Mothers Sharing, CEC-Catholics Encounter Christ, and Marriage Encouter, as well as all the other organizations that enhance our faith-filled journey as Catholics.

Sessions begin in the fall and meet weekly.

Any non-Catholic interested in joining the Catholic Church or in learning more about the teachings are welcome to attend.
