Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 2801 West E Street, P.O. Box 427, North Platte, NE 69103 US - Ladies of Holy Spirit

Ladies of Holy Spirit a/k/a Holy Spirit Council of Catholic Women is involved in many programs throughout the church & encourages any woman over 19 years of age to attend the monthly meetings which only meet throughout the school year, September – May.   Every registered woman at Holy Spirit is considered a member of this group.
Supported programs and activities by the Ladies of Holy Spirit are: 

• a young girl native of Columbia, endorsed by the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging,
• financial assistance with flowers for the Christmas & Easter seasons
• provide meals and serve dinner at funerals, as well as hospitality luncheons and monthly Doughnut Sunday
• provide ½ the expenses to send a Junior girl from St. Patrick High School to the American Legion Girls State Convention
• organize and host a Red Cross Blood Drive every 8 weeks
• support a Prayer Shawl Ministry
• purchased new round tables & table clothes for Nelson Hall
• Purchase and stock the prize booth for the annual church BBQ
• Host an annual Steak fry at the NPPD Cabin at Lake Maloney in September.
• Coordinate:  Mother-Daughter Spring Teas, Fashion Shows, Recipe Auctions, S’Mores picnics & most recently added an annual all parish potluck in support of the seminarians in the Diocese of Grand Island.
• This council currently approved to adopted 2 “special” seminarians, Gerald W Wetovick & Jason Mathis.  All members are urged to send them special packages or letters & cards to provide paryer and support to these faith-filled men.
