Our Vision Of Faith Formation

Every young person comes to class with a desire for truth and openness to the Word of God. Every response elicited through faith experiences will also deepen in the participant a willingness to be open to the power of the Holy Spirit and enliven the mind, body, and spirit with peace, lo, and joy.

We at St. Isidore Parish strive to meet the catechetical goals and objectives set forth by the Faith Formation Board, Education Formation Commission, Parish Council, Diocesan Faith Formation Office, and the National Catechetical Office. Every effort is made to empower all parents and guardians to be the primary religious educators of their children. It is our privilege to join parents as “partners” in their role as religious educators.

The Faith Formation Office works collaboratively with Junior and Senior High School Youth Ministry, St. Isidore School, and other Parish Staff to maintain the goal of providing the young person with opportunities to grow in faith and to come to an understanding of what it means to be a Catholic Christian.

A focus on the family is an important goal for both Faith Formation and all education ministry programs. The lives of the family and the parish are strongly interwoven. The growth of the family and the growth of the parish parallel each other. One cannot survive without the other. As a parish our goal is to empower families to realize their potential for growth and continued nurturing by offering opportunities for family involvement. The life of the parish is the families involved. Our intent is to enable all people to be aware and attentive to the importance of family involvement and togetherness.
