St. Isidore Parish at 427 W. Army Trail Road, Bloomingdale, IL 60108-1390 US - Community Life
The vibrant life of our community centers around our spiritual base - our Parish.
Worshipping and working together we answer Jesus’ invitation to
“love our neighbor as ourself”. Matthew 19
The human needs of our parish and neighborhood communities challenge and allow us to share our Catholic values, life experiences and gifts with others - either from our homes or out in the community. Ministries and events that
support our individual needs change. As your faith grows there are new ways to engage and get involved. Our community continues to be transformed through Christ and each other. Opportunities to connect your gifts are available in the Stewardship Handbook/Ministry Catalog or Put Your Faith Into Action. For information contact us.
Ministries that build community, address the ever changing needs of our community, and allow you to engage, get involved and serve others include:
Welcome - Providing hospitality and a family connection to our newer members of the parish.
|The CREW - those looking for employment or willing to assist someone in their job search.
Family, parent and caregiver support - expecting a baby, caring for a family member, need some advice, education or support for yourself or someone you care for.
Homebound visits - Visits from members of our community to our homebound members due to illness, after care from surgeries,
or just unable to come to Mass.
Nursing Home - ministers visit those who reside at Lexington and West Suburban Nursing Homes on Tuesday afternoon and Sunday morning.
Prayer Blanket - Create a tangible reminder that God is always present by sewing, crocheting, knitting, or quilting a 30x30 lap blanket.
