For more than 30 years, Knights of Columbus Charities, Inc. has offered Knights an opportunity to make tax-deductible contributions for a variety of charitable purposes. Now we are preparing to enhance this program under the name "United in Charity" by building a charitable endowment that, over the long term, will significantly increase the Order’s ability to achieve its charitable goals at all levels -- local, state and Supreme.
As we commit greater resources in service to the Church and our communities, we invite every brother Knight, our family members and friends to consider participating in this exciting new initiative. It will ensure that in the years to come, our essential charitable work will continue.
As Supreme Knight Carl Anderson stated in his 2004 annual report to the Supreme Convention in
Dallas, Texas:
“Our objective is to perpetuate the good works of the Order with Supreme Council resources, the endorsement of our jurisdictions and the faithful support of our members."
“The past year has been the most successful in our history when it comes to raising money for charity. But I don’t have to tell you that even with the $130 million we raised for charity last year, there are many needs that remain unmet.”
