FATHER McGIVNEY AWARD WINNER – Knights of Columbus Council 6173 of Cherry Hill, NJ is a Father McGivney Award winner. Named after the organization’s founder, Father Michael J. McGivney, the award is given in recognition of outstanding membership recruitment and retention efforts during the 2008-2009 fraternal year.
The announcement was made by the Knights of Columbus international headquarters in New Haven, Connecticut. Paul Riegert, District Deputy, presented the engraved plaque to the council at a special ceremony held on 27 October 2009.
In accepting the award, Grand Knight Frank J. Perrotto, head of the local council, said “Receiving this award is quite an honor. We are pleased with this accomplishment.”
