Cherry Hill Council 6173 at 2001 N. Springdale Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 US - Organ Donors Needed
| Organ Donors Needed |
The State of New Jersey and the U.S. Government passed the Uniform Anatomical Gift Act allowing a consenting individual to donate his/her organs upon death for the purpose of transplantation or medical research.
In order to qualify as an Organ Donor you must
- be 18 or older (those under age 18 require consent of a parent or guardian),
- check the back of your driver license, specifying the organ(s) you are willing to donate,
- document your decision to donate in a will or on a donor card (witnessed by two people).
NOTE: Checking your license (or Identification Card) is simply a declaration of your intent to be a donor; step 3 is also necessary.
To obtain a donor card, or for more information about organ and tissue transplantation, please call:

Don't take your organs to Heaven, God knows we need them here.
