Knights of Columbus Council 11470 at 604 E. Main St , Georgetown, KY 40324 US - August, 2007

Brent & Colette Mayer and were elected family of the month for August 2007 by our council. They met at Centre College where they both graduated. Brent graduated in 1994 from Centre College with BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; Colette graduated in 1995 with a BS in Biology Brent is currently employed with Neogen Corporation in Lexington where he has been since 1996. Since 1999, he has served as the Manager of Research and Development for the Diagnostics division. The Mayer family moved to Georgetown in May of 2006 & joined St. John parish in summer of 2006. Since joining St. John, Brent has been an active volunteer with the school, the parent committees, and a regular chairperson at Bingo. Brent is a greeter for the 8:00 mass and volunteered with the parish finance committee this past year. He was elected School Board President in 2007 Their son Nathan is in 1st grade at St. John School and likes T-ball and swimming; Alex stays at home at tries to do whatever his older brother is doing. Brent will receive one of our KC shirt as an appreciation of the work you do for the council, church, and school. Congratulations Brent & Colette and Thanks for all you do!!
