James & Suzanne were elected Family of the Month for October by our council. James grew up in Lexington. After high school, he attended Virginia Tech for his undergrad. Suzanne grew up in the Cincinnati area and attended University of Cincinnati for her undergrad. After James completed his undergrad he began attending the University of Cincinnati, and that is where the couple met. James graduated from UC in 1999 with a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering. Suzanne graduated from UC in 2000 with a JD in Law. In the summer of 1999 James began work as a Materials Engineer with Lexmark International in Lexington, where he is still currently employed. Later in the summer of 1999, James & Suzanne were married at St. Monica-St. George parish in Cincinnati. Soon after they married, they moved to Georgetown and became members of St. John parish. In the 8 years since joining the parish, James has been involved in Parish activities such as the formation committee, welcoming committee, parish stewardship sign-up, baptism preparation, and long range planning for St. John parish and school. James was elected to St. John parish council in the spring of 2007. Suzanne has volunteered time with St. John youth and St John school working with PTO to put on successful raffles and events, and has established a grant writing committee to enhance funding for the school. James & Suzanne have four children. Mike is 7 and is in the 2nd grade at St. John School. Matt is 5, Kristin is 3, & Joshua is 18months.
