Congratulations to our Decon Fitzpatrick Scholarship Winners!
Bret Williams and Chelsea DesJardins, both of East Pennsboro High School are the 2011 $500 scholarship recipients. Chelsea will be attending St. Francis University and will be majoring in Marine Biology. Brett will continue his education at Elizabethtown College and will major in Economics/History. Both of these young parishioners are active in Our Lady of Lourdes Parish with Brett holding the office of Chief Squire.
There were eleven applicants this year representing Cedar Cliff, Trinity, East Pennsboro, and Cumberland Valley high schools. The Knights are extremely proud of this year’s applicants and their accomplishments. We would like to thank all that applied including Austin Durham (Hamilton College-Pre-Medicine), Michael Palkovitz (Pittsburgh University-Accounting), Megan Johnson (Indiana University of Pennsylvania-Nursing), Julie Shea (Pittsburgh U at Greensburg-Anthropology), Michelle Dang (Clarion University-Pharmacy), Natalie Craig (Penn State-Education), Shannon Gatesman (Pittsburgh U at Bradford-Nursing), Brittney McClure-Slippery Rock University-Physical Therapy), and Alyssa Fake (West Chester University-Communications).
Our Lady of Lourdes Parish is truly blessed to have these outstanding seniors as parishioners and wish them all success in their college degree pursuits.
