Did you know that EZWeb SiteBuilder has a built in Page Hit Counter? If you have ever wondered how much traffic your site is getting, you will want to make yourself aware of the Page Hit Counter. Additionally, we will look at a few steps you can take to make your site as visible as possible. In this article we will review the fundamentals on Step 1 - Account Setup. Example Page Hits screen:
The Page Hit Counts provide you with a daily, last month, and a running total. This can be accessed on Step 1 - Account Setup, under Site Status. One thing to keep in mind that the Page Hit Counts does not differentiate which pages are viewed, and how many people view your site. The Page Hit Counts are strictly page views. That is to say that if 5 different visitors each viewed the home page once, you would accumulate 5 page views. That means that if 1 visitor viewed your home page, and 4 other pages, you would also accumulate 5 page views.
Also in the Account Setup are Site Keywords. Providing accurate Site Keywords can help search engines identify your site by providing keywords that are specific to your website. Make sure that you include things like city and state, and your church name in the keywords section. It is a good idea to include anything specific to your particular church, school or organization that would help distinguish you from a similar sites.
