Thank you for generously contributing to CCHD the weekend of Nov. 22-23, helping those in poverty help themselves.
Of the 37 million people considered to be living below the poverty line, 45 percent work full time but still do not make enough money to feed their families, keep roofs over their heads, and pay for health care.
The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) supports community-based projects—founded and managed by the poor themselves—that work toward building a better and more just community where poverty does not exist, local groups like Faith and Action for Strength Together (FAST) and the Hillsborough Organization for Progress and Equality (HOPE).
For more information, visit www.povertyusa.org or contact Sabrina Burton Schultz at sab@dosp.org or (727) 344-1611 , Ext. 325. You can make a difference.
