While preparing for the Way of the Cross during Holy Week, about 75 people gathered for noon Mass April 3 at Sacred Heart Church in downtown Tampa, mindful of those who await execution in Florida .
Mass was celebrated by Fr. Robert Schneider, the St. Petersburg Diocesan Representative for the Florida Catholic Conference Committee Against the Death Penalty, who offered a homily regarding Catholic teaching on the Death Penalty as well as an update on the current legislation and the situation in Florida .
