The Feast of Saint Blaise
We will be celebrating the Feast of Saint Blaise on Friday February 3rd. St. Blaise is traditionally believed to intercede in cases of throat illnesses. The blessing is: (Through the intercession of St. Blaise , bishop and martyr, may God deliver you from every disease of the throat and from every other illness. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.) The Blessing of the Throats will take place during the 8:00AM Friday morning Mass.

The Music Ministry is pleased to announce our Fifth Annual Dinner Variety Show! Mark your calendar for Sat. March 10th. The fun begins at 5:00pm. To make our show a success we need you! We know that our parish is full of people with talent, and we want you to take part in the show. Sing, dance, act, whatever your specialty is, we invite you to share it with your parish family. It promises to be a fun filled evening. You can pick up a Variety Show Talent Form from the gift shop or the music director John Willette. The deadline to join the variety show is feb. 24th. So come on! Don't be shy; you will have a really great time!

Catholic Women's Club Hosts Benefit
The Catholic Women's Club enjoyed hosting the successful Military Card Party Wednesday, January 18th. The fund raiser for Helping Hands and the Pregnancy Center met the goal for this annual event with a small increase over last year. In addition to contributing to two worth while organizations, it was a joy and pleasure to welcome over 100 persons from our county to join us for lunch and an afternoon of games. The attendees were pleased with the menu selections and the unique prizes provided.
OUR PARISH MISSION WILL BE PRESENTED FEBRUARY 25-29, 2012 BY FATHER NISBET, A CATHOLIC BIBLE SCHOLAR. COME AND HEAR HIS TALKS ON RENEWAL OF FAITH. SO MARK YOUR CALENDAR. YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT!!
Its January! Where are the Children???
The commitment to the Catholic Education of your child is important in preparing them to become members of our faith community by learning the tenants of their faith, and the beliefs and doctrine of the Church. When a year of education is missed, the child is at risk of being uninformed about the tradition and sacraments of the Catholic Church and the positive impact the faith can have on their lives. We encourage parents to actively support their child's attendance for each year of CCD, as the curriculum for each school year explains the Catholic faith and doctrine more in depth and appropriate to their age group. Attending Mass with the child is a positive factor in the growth process for religious education of our youth.

Marriage Jubilee Celebration
There will be a special celebration Mass honoring all couples that are celebrating their silver (25 yrs) or golden (50 yrs) anniversary, as well as couples married more than 50 years. This Mass will be on Saturday, february 18, 2012 at 11:00am. All are invited to attend.
There will be reserve seating in the church for the "honorees" during the Mass, and a special reception in the parish hall immediately following the Mass. Registration is required. Anniversary couples must notify the parish office of their names by February 3, 2012. After this date, no other names may be accepted.
ATTENTION ALL YOUTH OF OUR PARISH !!!
Do you love to sing? Do you play an instrument? Would you like to be more involved in the Mass on Sunday? Well, we have the answer! We would like you to join the Choir. At least one Sunday a month we want to spotlight the youth of our parish worshipping the Lord through song at the 9:00AM Mass! You are welcome to sing at every 9:00AM Mass, (or any Mass for that matter), but we want you to be a part of the music ministry. And many of our young people have a lot of talent! If you are interested, please come to Ms. Debbie's classroom after CCD Classes. Let's "SING TO THE LORD!!"

We invite you to spend a few quiet moments with Our Lord. On the First Friday of the month, exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is held in the Chapel from 8:30AM until 3:45PM. Throughout the day on February 3rd,2012 you have the opportunity to stop in and pray, reflect or meditate in His presence. He should not be left alone. We need more people to sign up. When you sign up, please keep your commitment.

The Catholic Womens Club invites you to join them for First Saturday Devotions this Saturday, February 4th, 2012, immediately following morning Mass in the Chapel. Refreshments are available afterwards. Please come and pray with us.
