Change in leadership

The Diocese is making changes in leadership in several parishes, including St. Mark's. Fr. Phillip Reaves will be moving to St. Mary Church in Batesville, AR. He is scheduled to leave on June 9th. Our best wishes are extended to Fr. Phillip as he moves on in his journey.
Fr. Pius Ajunwa Iwo will be coming to us in June as the priest at St. Mark, Holy Child (Dumas), and St. Luke (Warren).  Fr. Pius has served several churches in south Arkansas. Most recently, he has been filling short term vacancies for priests who were in Mexico receiving language and cultural immersion.
We look forward to meeting Fr. Pius and assisting him in his ministry to our parish and our community.

Vacation Bible School leaders needed
Hope Bragg, who will be directing Vacation Bible School, is asking to hear from anyone who would like to work at VBS this summer. The dates are June 7-11, 5-8:00 P.M. Please let Hope know if you can help. It is always a fun time, especially  when everyone is pitching in to share the tasks.

We want to thank Mandy Kuttenkuler for her service to the parish as director of CCD (religious education classes) for the youth and children of the parish. Mandy has put much effort into the education of the children for four years. She is greatly appreciated.
Hope Bragg will be taking on this huge responsibility. We appreciate Hope's willingness to serve God through this leadership position.
Hope is now seeking leaders for CCD in  the fall. Please let her know how much you appreciate her commitment by serving with her as a leader for the youth and children.
