The mission of NCCW is carried out through the work of six commissions, each under the direction of a national commission chair and often mirrored on archdiocesan/diocesan, regional, and local parish levels. The Church Commission reinforces faith and supports service to the Church and to the world through discipleship and spiritual growth. (Current Church Commission Chair) The Family Concerns Commission supports and enhances family life within the Church and society. (Current Family Concerns Commission Chair) The Community Concerns Commission engages the members of NCCW, and all people, in working to address the needs and concerns of their individual communities. (Current Community Concerns Commission Chair) The International Concerns Commission promotes responsibility for the world community through the conviction that our wealth and resources must be shared with all. (Current International Concerns Commission Chair) The Legislation Commission encourages legislative advocacy at the local, state, and national levels, guided by Catholic social teaching. (Current Legislation Commission Chair) The Organization Commission provides organization development, opportunities for training, public relations resources, and publications to strengthen leadership.
