Established in 1996, the "Children Matter" project brings attention to abuse and mistreatment directed to children. NCCW affiliate organizations are encouraged to advocate for children and to educate their members and communities on the issues that impact the lives of children. Many parish and arch/diocesan councils support local facilities that meet the needs of abused children.
