Our Lady of Good Counsel at 620 S. Fifth St., Aurora, IL 60505 US - Eucharistic Adoration

Eucharistic Adoration

Eucharistic Adoration at Our Lady of Good Counsel is in the Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel within St. Francis Center.  With a group of 34 people who have made a weekly commitment for one hour, 35 who committed to varying times, and seven ministries whose members have committed to varying times each week, we are now able to adore Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament weekly every Thursday for 10 hours, noon until 10 PM.

Eucharistic Adoration has been promoted throughout church history by popes and saints, most recently by Pope John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI, St. Faustina, St. Padre Pio and Blessed Mother Theresa.  Where Eucharistic Adoration takes place, God's blesings have been poured out in abundance on families, parishes and the whole world.  When St. Faustina was in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, Jesus appeared to her in a vision.  Each time a person entered the chapel and visited Jesus exposed in a monstrance, she saw His divine rays of Love and Mercy burst forth and encircle the whole world and everyone in it with graces and blessings.  Jesus told her, "I want Adoration to take place... for the intention of imploring Mercy for the whole world."

We invite everyone to participate in this devotion that Jesus asks for.  We especially invite younger adults to answer Jesus' call since so many of those who participate are elderly and infirm.  Hopefully, you can find one hour a week to visit Him, but any amount of time you can spend with Him is welcome.
