Our Lady of Good Counsel at 620 S. Fifth St., Aurora, IL 60505 US - Home

Welcome to Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church & School!

Bulletin: September 14, 2014

Direct Donation to Our Lady of Good Counsel

Thank you to Dennis & Stacey Barsema!

Dennis and Stacey Barsema established the Barsema Scholarship Endowment in the Catholic Foundation for the People of the Diocese of Rockford on November 30, 2000. The Barsemas routinely distribute some of the earnings from their endowment to needy, Catholic schools in the Aurora area.

Our Lady of Good Counsel was very blessed to be selected to
receive a check for $40, 279 from the Barsema family. It was presented to Our Lady of Good Counsel School on Friday, September 12, 2014.  Bishop David Malloy,
Msgr. Glenn L. Nelson, Vicar General,
Michael Kagan, Diocesan Superintendent of Catholic Schools, and
Father Etheredge, Superintendent/Principal Aurora Central HS, were in attendance. OLGC School faces difficult financial challenges and was selected
to receive these funds. We are very grateful to this generous couple and their support of Catholic education.
