Safe Environment Workshop for Volunteers
If you are a volunteer, working with minors or elderly, you are required to attend a Safe Environment Workshop on one of the following dates:
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 8—9:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6—9:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M.
The workshop is required by the Diocese of St. Petersburg and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. The purpose is to better equip volunteers with the knowledge of appropriate behavior toward minors or vulnerable elderly; how to recognize abuse and when and how to report it. If you have any questions, please contact your ministry coordinator, or Deacon Rick (949-4565, ext. 230).
Parents for Life Group
Do you have a teen involved in the Lifeteen Program?
Are you looking for something to do while waiting?
Join other parents every Sunday evening during the Lifeteen Program (after the 6:00 pm Lifeteen Mass) in the Lifeteen Youth Room (St Mary's portable behind the Parish Hall.). We will meet for snacks and drinks and conversation.
BIBLE STUDY
Are you looking to further your knowledge and understanding of God’s Word in the Holy Bible? We have several opportunities to fit your needs.
Mom’s Bible Study
This group of moms meet on Monday mornings at 10:30 am in the Parish Hall. A babysitting co-op is offered for those with young children.
Men’s Bible Study
This group of men meets every Thursday morning at 7 am for Bible Study with Fr Ron. Our Knights of Columbus offer breakfast for those who wish. Mass follows at 8:00 am for those able to attend.
Bible Study
Every Thursday afternoon at 3:00 pm, a group of men and women meet with Fr Raphael to study the Bible.
Adult Education Video Series
This new video series by Scott Hahn promises to be a great way to further your study of the church and the Bible. This is an educational series that will cover laying the groundwork of faith; salvation history; understanding our One, Holy, Catholic & Apostolic Church; the Seven Sacraments as well as taking a closer look at Christ’s Church and applying our Faith to our families.
This series will be offered on Monday evenings at 6:00 pm until 7:30 beginning September 15th. It will be repeated on Thursday evenings at 5:30 pm to 6:50 pm beginning September 18th. The times coincide with our religious ed classes on those evenings.
Thanks to Our Eagle Scouts
Our Eagle Scouts have been busy working on various projects on the parish grounds. Several months back Justin Baggott worked with his fellow scouts to complete two picnic areas south of the parking lot. Each area has a picnic table and grill. 
More recently, Bradley Slaughter directed a project around the Bell Tower that created a larger area for prayer and reflection complete with benches. With help from his fellow scouts, Bradley added additional pavers and flowering shrubs.
