Welcome to Library Science and Sign Language Class!
Sign Language and Library Science are a formal part of the curriculum at Our Lady of the Mountains for students in grades Kindergarten through 8. Students attend class led by former OLM 7th/8th grade teacher Darla Music once each week. Each class is provided with an opportunity to check books out to read at home, and participate in structured lessons, with topics such as poetry, literature, and writing. Children also enjoy learning American Sign Language during library time. Favorite units included animal names, food, and songs, such as "Jesus Loves Me", "America the Beautiful", "This Land is Your Land" and "Silent Night". We are thrilled to retain the expertise of Mrs. Music and look forward to more adventures in learning with her!
