The bishop, Most Rev. Dr. Julius Babatunde Adelakun, is at the helm of administration of diocesan affairs, acting in consultation with the Vicar General, the Senate, Consultors, the Diocesan Pastoral Council, the various Commissions and other diocesan organization. With the sense of community stressed at every level, both locally and between the Bishop and the people of God, the management of diocesan affairs tends to promote accessibility and a developed sense of common concern as well as participation by communities in policy making. The people genuinely look on the Church and her concerns as their own.
