Montana is bordered by the state of Idaho on the west; the state of Wyoming on the south; the states of North and South Dakota on the east; and the providences of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan to the north.
Montana is blessed with two National Parks:
Glacier National Park
in the northwestern section of the state;
and Yellowstone National Park
in the southwest.

Diocese of Helena
The Diocese of Helena is comprised of the western 1/3 of the state.
There are 100 parishes and missions in the diocese.
The Diocesan See is located in Helena, which is also the Capitol of the state.
The Cathedral of St. Helena is modeled after the Cathedral of Cologne, Germany.

Sanders County
Sanders County is located along the western border with Idaho.
The county is approximately 100 miles long and 40 miles wide.
The Flathead River flows northwest through the county until it
reaches the Clark Fork River at Paradise. The Clark Fork River then continues to flow northwest through the remainder of the county between the Cabinet range and the Bitterroot/Coeur D'Alene mountains.
It is indeed God's great creation.
The main traffic through the majority of the county is on
Highway 200, which runs basically west by northwest.
Missoula is located approximately 80 miles southeast of Plains and Kalispell is located approximately 80 miles northeast of Plains.

Parishes and Missions
There are two larger communities
Thompson Falls [County seat]
and
Plains.
The other towns:
Hot Springs, Dixon, Paradise, Lone Pine,
Trout Creek, Noxon, Heron) although smaller,
are no less vital in their faith.
