College Entrance Exam Registration
Those students wishing to take college entrance exams (typically juniors and seniors) can go to the following web sites to register.
www.collegeboard.com (SAT)
www.actstudent.org (ACT)
SAT and ACT testing dates are available throughout the fall and winter. Remember, the SAT homeschool code is 970000 and the ACT homeschool code is 969999. Both of the above web sites have preparation information available. The College Board site also has much general information about college preparation for all ages of high school students.
It is recommended that high school homeschool students prepare diligently for college entrance exams as they are the single most important factor affecting acceptance rates and scholarship awards for homeschool students. There are many great resources available to prepare for college entrance exams, including books, web sites, special classes, etc. Consumer Reports recently suggested the following web site as a good free resource for ACT and SAT preparation.
