During their first few years of exposure to other people, children pick up colds and other illnesses easily. For the health of the staff and the other children, students who complain of nausea, stomachache, headache, head or chest congestion, runny nose, or sore throat should stay at home. A signed written note, stating the dates and reason for absence must be presented to the office when your child returns to school Children absent for three days or longer, must have a note from the doctor to return to school. If your child is not attending school for any reason, the school must be notified by 9:30 AM for the morning session or full day program and 12:30 PM for the afternoon session. The number to call is 842-62 13. For those riding the bus, you must also call the bus company in advance to inform them of your child’s absence. The number for the bus company is 838-9000. You must call the bus company to assure pick up after a lengthy absence which is considered to be at least three consecutive days.
