The youth program will continue to be part of the Faith Formation program with Vanessa Booth as the Coordiantor along with the volunteers listed above. We are working together just as
St. Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 12:12-14 "As a body is one thou it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, aer one body, so also Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one, body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons, adn we are all given to drink of one Spirit. Now the body is not a simgle part, but many." We are all one body... each part has a purpose and a need--together we are empowerd through our baptism to do Gods will. Although at this time we are not able to hire a youth minister--
together we will build a program for our youth!
We have created a facebook account for our youth to visit and share thoughts and ideas ygroup Peter-Paul--please contact Mary Lee at marylee0909@hotmail.com for more details or vanesabooth@charterinternet.com .
The Catholic bishops' conference of England and Wales has launched a program to generate biblical interest in "tweenagers." The monthly Bible Detectives' Quiz program, complete with prizes for those who correctly follow the clues, is now being offered on teh yfaith web site. This site, which caters to youth aged 11-13 is an initiative of the Cathoilc Agency to Support Evangelization, an agency of the bishops' conference. http://www.yfaith.co.uk/ is the site--I invite you to log on and check it out!
