2009 VBS was held at First United Methodist Church on August 9-13^th from 6:00-8:30 p.m. This Ecumenical Vacation Bible School is a program developed by Ionia area churches to bring the message Jesus Loves You to children of all ages. We offer two concurrent programs for preschool and elementary age children. Each day the children took part in fun Bible learning that they could see, hear, touch and even taste. Our Preschool children had a Rocken’ Time at Rocky’s Preschool Playhouse, while our Kindergarten – Fifth graders will enjoy Gator Games, Crawfish Crafts & Mission, Swamp Stomp Sing & Play, Bible Bayou and the Dockside Drive-In. The children participated in a hands-on mission kid-to-kid project again this year. Each day ended with a Firefly Finale that will reinforce the Bible Bayou Verse of the day and offer time for praise and worship through song.
