St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church at 532 17th St., Windom, MN 56101 US - Thinking About Becoming Catholic?  Join RCIA!

Thinking About Becoming Catholic?  Join RCIA!

RCIA, or "Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults," is the process by which adults become full members of the Catholic Church.  RCIA candidates can be Christians of other faiths, or non-Christians.  They can be baptized, or not baptized.  The process is open to all adults.

RCIA starts with the Period of Inquiry. During this period, teaching is given to people who are interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith. The sessions cover basic information about the Faith and fundamentally communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The church is offering here an invitation to initial conversion. There is no obligation involved in attending these meetings—they are intended to help a person decide whether they want to continue learning about the Faith. Attendees at this stage are known as Inquirers.

If you have been wondering about the Catholic faith, or thinking about becoming Catholic, now is the time to join the RCIA program!  RCIA meets Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall.  Candidates are invited to stay for book study at 6:30 p.m. with the other RCIA candidates and Catholic adults.

Confirmation takes place at Easter.  For more information, please call Fr. Russ at 507-831-3300.
