SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM

Baptism is the spiritual entrance and sharing in the living, dying and rising of Jesus. We, together as a community of faith, share in this spiritual entrance. Because of the community aspect of this premier sacramental moment, we encourage this celebration in a community setting. Two options are offered monthly at 10:15 Eucharist on the first Sunday, and at 1:30 on the first Sunday, except during the season of Lent. Expectant parents are required to attend an evening of preparation before the baptism of their child. If you are expecting a child in the next six months, please contact the Parish office to register for this preparation instruction.

RITES OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION (R.C.I.A.)

Christian Initiation is a process by which people become members of the Catholic Church. It is a spiritual journey and process climaxing in the celebration of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist) at the Easter Vigil. This process is for those who have never been baptized as well as for those baptized in other religious traditions.

SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE

The union of a man and woman in marriage is a special experience of God's loving action. In order to appropriately prepare couples for marriage, it is expected that the couple contact one of the parish priests first, to arrange for an appointment prior to making other arrangements. This initial contact should be at least six months prior to the desired date of the marriage. When meeting with the priest, the other sacramental preparations will be explained.
