MISSION STATEMENT OF THE PARISH OF SAINT KATHERINE OF SIENA

Saint Katherine of Siena parish is a portion of the Lord's vineyard located in the Torresdale section of Philadelphia and dedicated to the furtherance of God's kingdom on earth.

To this end the people of God of Saint Katherine parish reaffirm their faith in the Holy Trinity.  They pledge their allegiance to the Catholic Church and to the Vicar of Christ here on earth.  They pledge their reverent cooperation with their Archbishop, their pastor and his associates.

The people of God of Saint Katherine parish pledge their continuing support of Catholic Education and an abiding prayerful resolve to reach out to the members of their own faith community who may be suffering in any way.

They profess further their willingness to share their faith with those who have no faith or whose faith has grown weak.

Gathered about the Eucharistic table and fortified by the grace of the sacraments, and aware of their own shortcomings, the people of God of Saint Katherine parish confess their total dependency upon Almighty God and make this mission statement in full trust of God's protective grace and abiding love.
