St. Sebastian School at 307 Siebert Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237-2819 US - Our Library is now Online

Volunteer efforts have paid off and the St. Sebastian Library has been transformed through the use of a state of the art software called Destiny Library Manager.  This multi-language, web-based software allows students, parents and teachers to have round-the-clock electronic access to our school’s library collection. By creating a username and password, you can login to:
• browse the library catalog
• view what items are checked out and when they are due
• renew items
• place items on hold
• write reviews and recommend books to others
• create individual resource lists

Just Click on the book L is for Library

This will bring you the main screen of the Destiny software system.

Click on the blue St. Sebastian link under Elementary Schools and on the next screen
Click the Create Account button and follow these instructions:
1. Enter your last name and barcode number given to you in the letter sent home from school.
2. You must choose and enter your own user name and your password.  Enter the password again to confirm it.  If you don't have an email address on file already, you can enter that also.
3. When you are done, click the SAVE button.

Destiny automatically logs you in with your new user name and password.
You can use the user name and password you just created to log in from now on.

Once you are logged on to Destiny, you will notice you have two tabs, Catalog and My Info. The Catalog tab gives you access to the online catalog and allows you to search using various methods (basic, power, visual, etc.). The My Info tab allows you to see information about the items checked out and on hold. It also allows you create Resource Lists, for example you can create a list called, “Books I want to read this year” and as you browse the catalog you can place titles in your resource list(s).   If you, as a parent, would like to have your own account, please let us know. You may want to use your own account to check out books to read aloud to your child or to preview books for your child.
