The following procedure for picking up students who are car-riders was developed by a committee of parents/grandparents, Father Bill and Mrs. Dickson. The committee’s main concern is child safety. To ensure that safety, please adhere to the following procedure effective Monday, October, 5, 2009.
The following two options are available:
If you park in the lower parking lot please take the first spot available. You must back in, must leave your car and meet your child/children by the statue at the top of the steps to the lot. All cars MUST park and have the engine turned off. No parent is to stand beside their car and wave to their child to come to them. Students will not be permitted to leave the designated area without a parent/guardian.
2. PLAYGROUND
All cars MUST park and have the engine turned off. If you do not wish to leave your car please pull into the playground area and park, facing the center of the playground so that the BACK of your car faces the fence. Students will enter this area between the fence and the back of the parked cars. When you see the students coming you may get out of your car and stand next to or behind it so that your child can see where you are parked. Please do not motion for your child to come across the lot to meet you at the front of your car. Once your child is secured in your vehicle, you may leave the lot.
Parents are responsible for making sure that all persons picking up their children are aware of the proper procedure.
